You Are Our Best Asset! Check out the Integrated Clinical Enterprise (ICE) RN Program where any full-time or part-time (50%) nurse within ICE is eligible to refer a full-time RN who meets the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 24 months experience as an RN in an acute care hospital.
  • In the past 24 months, experience includes 12 months in a non-management, direct patient care role in the same specialty as the role apply for.
  • Full-time RN employment for the past 24 months with less than a 90-day break (in-state relocation) or less than 180-day break (out of state relocation).

Here are the basics of the program:

  • Referring nurse’s name and department must be listed on the application under “Source Information” section at the time of application, prior to hire/start.
  • Referral form must be submitted before processing will occur and prior to the completion of the probation period.
  • Only one referral/referring nurse is accepted and only one RN Refer agreement may be active at any given time.
  • Full-time UAMS RN receives $18,000 taxable nurse bonus with $6000 paid after recruited nurse successfully completes the probationary period; $6000 paid at the end of one year; $6000 balance is paid at the end of two years.
  • Part-time UAMS RN receives $9,000 taxable nurse bonus with $3000 paid after recruited nurse successfully completes the probationary period; $3000 paid at the end of one year; $3000 balance is paid at the end of two years.
  • Both employees must maintain same or greater employment status. Recruited nurse must remain employee in a 24-7 critical area.
  • Both employees must maintain annual performance evaluations with no progressive discipline.
  • Eligible employees: Direct care RN’s in Patient Care Services, Perioperative Care Services or the Integrated Clinical Enterprise (ICE).
  • Ineligible employees: Nursing Directors, Clinical Services Managers, Assistant Clinical Services Managers, Advanced Practice Partners, ADONs, Nurse Recruiters, travel nurse/agency nurse/internal transfer and/or rehires with at least 180 days from most recent termination date.
  • This is taxable income that is not considered base salary and will not be included in retirement calculations.
