  • *Applicants with a minimum of 12 months full-time experience as an RN in an acute care hospital; Experience in the past 12 months may include up to 6 months in a management position, but must include at least 6 months in a direct patient care role in an acute care hospital; and be hired into a UAMS “Critical Area” of full time employment. “Critical Area” is defined as 24-7 Areas: Inpatient Units (Med/Surg, Onc, PRI), Adult Critical Care Units (including ICU Float Pool), Main Operating Room and Emergency Department plus Cardiac Cath. Lab and Interventional Radiology/Interventional Radiology PreOp/PACU.  Current UAMS employee/float pool/transfer and/or rehires within the past 180 days of most recent termination date are not eligible.

$18,000 RN Referral Bonus (Limited Time Only)

You Are Our Best Asset! Check out the Integrated Clinical Enterprise (ICE) RN Program where any full-time or part-time (50%) direct care RN within ICE, Patient Care Services or Periop Care Services is eligible to refer a full-time RN who meets the following criteria:

RN Resource Nurse Recognition Program

UAMS Nursing believes that improved patient outcomes are a result of highly skilled professional nurses who are self-motivated to continue learning, empowered to improve nursing care quality and dedicated to furthering the nursing profession. In addition to the Clinical Ladder, which differentiates levels of Registered Nurse practice, the PNO Resource Nurse Recognition Program addresses continued excellence by those nurses who remain in clinical positions delivering direct patient care.

Another purpose of the program is to also reward professional nurses for their continual advancement and professional development as direct patient care providers receive (up to $1000 every six months based on evaluation/criteria).  For more detailed information regarding the Resource Nurse Program, contact CenterforNursingExcellence@uams.edu.
