The Maternal Infant FD nurses have the opportunity to work in Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, the Ante partum and Post partum units.
The Float Division nurses’ use all of their nursing assessment and clinical skills to meet new patients, families and staff on a daily basis. To prepare these Float Division nurses to work in these specialty areas, a variety of courses are offered including Cardiac Dysrthymia, Chemotherapy and any of the Critical Care courses. Clinical orientation focuses on the nurse’s needs and strengths as they are partnered with a preceptor to maximize their orientation experience. All Float Division nurses receive a quarterly bonus of 25% for floating to the different areas. The Float pool team is a dynamic group of staff who meet the challenge and flexibility of a new assignment every day.
