_Testing – Most Valuable Partner (MVP) of the month for October 2016
The Professional Nursing Organization’s Nursing Image and Development Council is pleased to honor Betty Greenwood, a Patient Service Associate on F8, Cardiac Progressive Care as our Most Valuable Partner (MVP) for December 2016. Betty has served UAMS for over 20 years.
Betty is described as being “the lynch pin that holds everything together” by her co-workers. With her professional and positive behavior, Betty is considered a role model to her team. She is a long term employee with UAMS and considered an expert whereby all levels of staff come to her for help, advice and directions. A co-worker stated “without Betty, this unit would never be at the level it has become.” She makes sure all patient and staff needs are met. Recently, she agreed to sit with a patient on the unit who had been aggressive with staff. Family and staff noted how this patient’s demeanor changed due to Betty’s patience and calming presence. Her coworkers feel she is “the mother of the unit” and keeps the unit running smoothly.
UAMS is beyond pleased to have Betty as part of the patient care team on F8 and the hospital. Her long term dedication with patients, families, and staff provides comfort, hope, and healing each and every day.
Congratulations and Thank you, Betty!
