New Graduate RN Residents
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) hires New Graduate RN Residents into the following specialty areas:
- Behavior Health (Adult and Child)
- Critical Care (Medical/Neuro and Cardiac/Surgical/Trauma)
- Emergency Services
- Neonatal ICU
- Women and Infants
Depending upon the specialty area, the New Graduate RN Resident’s orientation is designed with a specialized and focused platform to include lectures, simulation, case studies, online modules, etc., with designated preceptors. Support and training continues throughout the first year through our ‘Transition to Practice for New Graduates.’ New Graduate RN Residents may also rotate to various shifts and areas as determined by the specialty.
Applications are accepted in September and January for orientation that begin in July and March, respectively. The New Graduate RN Resident is also required to complete online educational references prior to offer of employment and secure a permanent license before the first day of orientation.
