New Graduate RN Residency Programs

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is adding four (4) new residency programs in Medical/Surgical, Oncology, OR and Peri-Anesthesia along with the current Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) Residency Program. The Residency Programs are designed to provide the New Graduate RN with a specialized and focused orientation program including lectures, simulation, case studies, online modules, with designated preceptors. New Graduates will rotate on day shift and night shifts as well as various areas identified in each track.

Applications are accepted in March and December for classes that begin in July and January, retrospectively. The New Graduate is required to also submit an educational reference and start with a permanent license. See UAMS New Graduate RN Residency flyer for details.
